A Laugh Fest, a Song Fest and Rave Reviews!

A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum opened this past weekend with smashing performances on both Friday and Saturday. What a laugh fest! What a song fest! The show, directed and choreographed by John Command, is so high energy, so colorful, so hilarious. You definitely don’t want to miss it.

With a rave review in the Pioneer Press and an excellent notice in the Star Tribune, the show is off to a glorious start. Make your plans to see it now – it plays through July 31. As you know, you can reserve on line or call the box office (612) 822-7063 and talk to a real live living person!

AND the back wall of the theater has now been primed with white paint ready to receive the 30-foot tall hibiscus flower mural created by artist Betsy Cole, which will be painted by MCAD trained painters led by MCAD mural teacher Elissa Cedarleaf. The theater is dressing itself up in celebration of its 21st birthday. Throughout the month of June the mural will be emerging and by the end of the month all will be manifest! The Jungle continues to BECOME!

And now we shift our focus to preparations for the theater’s upcoming production of Hamlet. What a season!
